One of the most well known species, Porcellionides pruinosus are fast breeding, fast moving, and extremely active isopods. They're among the easiest to keep and breed, and the most fun to watch, as they're almost always out and about.

Their use in bioactives is only recommended for animals that are not susceptible to being chewed on (like many frogs and toads are). These 'pods love their protein and they will get it by any means necessary!
